Teachers Pay Teachers has announced a site wide sale!!! I was so excited when I first heard the news! This means it is time to stock up on all those resources you have been swooning over for the second half of the year. Here's my big tips: PURCHASE FROM YOUR WISH-LIST NOW, NOT LATER I have been known to go crazy searching for things I think I will love, instead of purchasing the things I have been wanting for months and forgot about. Check out your wish-list and start building it now in preparation for wednesday. SET A PHONE REMINDER I have missed site-wide sales just by logging off line for a few days- believe me this will never happen again. STOCK UP ON CLIPART If you are a seller and creator- this is your moment to shine! Buy all the clipart you need for things you are working on, and plan ahead for the summer/ new school year, so your wallet isn't slammed all at once STOCK UP ON BUNDLES Sales are made for bundles. even if it is not something for this school year- plan ahead. And once again the more you plan ahead the easier it is on your wallet USE YOUR TPT CREDITS I ALWAYS forget about my credits! You get credits for giving feedback on products you have purchased- easy enough right!- these credits work as REAL money on TPT. I like to save them up for sale time. My Store, Simply Special Ed will be discounted 28% for the one day sale. That's 20% of savings from me, and 8% savings from TPT- But don't forget to use the code: HEROES. I have some new products in my store- and EVERYTHING will be discounted during the sale! Even my BESTSELLER comprehension units! I have added a link up- started by the fabulous Christine at Autism Classroom News, to link together some amazing special education stores where you can find the BEST special ed resources on TPT. Check them all out- they are amazing! So, check out your wishlist, add to it, and set your phone alarm for wednesday when the clock strikes midnight! That's all for now,
Miss Alyssa The importance of Presidents' Day For some of our kiddos, holiday's are tough. They may miss the meaning behind a day off, if there are no presents involved. I made this adapted book to keep them interested while also learning about the importance of presidents' day. How I Use My Adapted Books in the Classroom Adapted Books have been a LIFESAVER in my classroom. They are perfect for informational texts, quick comprehension checks, building understanding, busy hands and SO much more. Best part is that they are quick, direct, and to the point. Comprehension Checks All of my Adapted Books come with 2 levels of readers- level 1 and level 2. Level 2 has a bit more text, and 2 extra questions that dive a little deeper into the text. Each question has a field of two answers to choose from. How to Put Them Together I laminate all of my books and use metal rings to put them together. I hang them all up in the classroom for easy access throughout the day. Best part is that you can reuse them for years to come! Here is the link to my adapted books: Presidents' Day Adapted Book Check out the whole collection (((HERE))). That's all for now!

Miss Alyssa Hi all !
I have decided to start doing some link ups on my blog! I think this would be a great way to group and find some high quality resources and TpT Stores. Here are the rules: 1. Only link up February related products 2. Don't link up more than 3 at a time, but come back as often as you like! 3. Use high quality cover images when you link! 4. Share the link-up and get other to join in the fun! Here are my February Link Up Products featuring my new line of Adapted Books! Hi everyone! I am excited to be building my life skills products so much lately! It's so important to teach life skills and it is never to young to start. My kids love learning about life skills and hardly know they are working- especially when food related. I mean who ISN'T motivated by food, i know I am! :) These products can easily be laminated and velcroed for YEARS of use :) Students love using these file folders for independent work! Remember to check out my other life skills products! That's all for now!
Miss Alyssa Tomorrow is the Super Bowl and my team is playing! In honor of the pats I'm throwing a lucky giveaway.
Super Bowl Giveaway! Ends tomorrow at kickoff! The winner will receive my 3 newest products: My Adapted Book: Groundhog Day! My Adapted Book: Valentine's Day! My Adapted Book: Presidents' Day! To Enter: 1. Like this post 2. Like my new Facebook Page: Simply Special Ed 3. Follow me on Teachers Pay Teachers username: Simply Special Ed 4. Follow me on Instagram: Simply Special Ed 5. Comment below with a new product you would like to see me make! We had THREE snow days this week! Craziness! I enjoyed the extra time at home to prep activities, create for TpT, and spend some time with Michael- but it was hard not to think about my kiddos that don't enjoy the change in schedule. I tried to embed as much routine as possible to our friday back at school. And also threw in a little snow fun too! This sensory activity was the best! Simple and easy to do with everything you have on hand. We sure had plenty of snow! Just mix food coloring and water and paint away! Some of my kiddos needed some persuasion to touch the snow and paint, but that is what sensory experiences are for! One even helped me write " go pats!" (top left). It was a great Friday. Now another two days off then it's supposed to be another huge storm on monday! EEK! That's all for now!
