Since the beginning of the school year I have been implementing Monthly Family Projects. I was nervous about doing so because I know how busy the lives my families lead are, especially caring for a child with severe disabilities, but I really felt that these projects would bring the family together. The feedback I received from my families was unbelievable! One Mom said she didn't know how to do something as a family involving her daughter until they had this assignment. Now they are doing more family games and crafts throughout the month. Another Mom asked if she could use my family projects in her own classroom ( she's a Kindergarten teacher)! It's emails like that that make all this work worth it! I have decided to share my family projects on a month to month basis, as I create them they will become available to you in my TPT store. They include a letter home explaining the monthly assignments to parents ( a refresher is always useful), directions for this month's assignment, and the project template. Check out November's Monthly Family Project HERE! This month's project is disguising a turkey for Thanksgiving! That's all for now, Miss. Alyssa |
