Learning about "My Five Senses" is a popular topic for little kiddos. I love the idea of teaching this topic during fall, my favorite season of course! There is so much to hear, see, smell, taste, and touch! So many opportunities for incidental teaching. Below is some pictures from my class completing my "Five Senses Unit" You can find it HERE in my Teacher's Pay Teachers Store!
The Unit Includes:
My Five Senses cards with SymbolStix visuals
My Five Senses sort ( symbolstix visuals)
Taste Test worksheet
Touch Project with pictures and suggestions!

I also supplemented this week of senses fun with a Friday Sensory Group! I made 4 pounds of moonsand from scratch for under $5.00. It's $20 in store for 3 cups!
For most of my students, the Moon Sand was a hit! For others, it took a bit of convincing.
I also created a Five Senses of Fall word sort that I used with my kids as a review the following week! We wrote an acrostic Five Senses Poem and each child selected pictures from the sort that they wanted in their poem! You can find my Five Senses of Fall Sort in my Teacher's Pay Teachers Store: A to Z Special Education Resources!
That's all for now,
